    Alys Clare is a pseudonym of Elizabeth Harris, author of English historical whodunnit novels primarily set in medieval times, featuring the characters of Abbess Helewise and Josse d'Acquin. Brought up in the countryside close to where the Hawkenlye Novels are set, she went to school in Tonbridge and later studied English at the University of Keele. She has also published books as Elizabeth Harris. Alys Clare just keeps getting better and better. In her fourth Hawkenlye Abbey installment, The Chatter of Maidens, she surpasses her previous works easily with a complex and deliciously twisted Helewise and her close friend Sir Josse d’Acquin join forces to discover the mysterious origin and truth behind the lies of three sisters who have come to Hawkenlye.

It’s a great book and I will have the review posted soon but it was so difficult to read with all the racism surfacing everywhere I look. It is a book that will make you angry. Watching: We finished Paranoid on Netflix. It was just okay.
